C&K'S Dhagun-Gur Resource Library
The Dhagun-Gur Resource Library has a variety of materials available for borrowing. These aim to enhance the cultural awareness of children and enrich the curriculum. Parents, teachers, students and community members are encouraged to make use of information and resources available from the library. Other resources available for borrowing include puzzles, dramatic play props, books and artefacts for use in early childhood settings.
The Dhagun-Gur Resource Library contains Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander resources including:
Puzzles
Children's information and storybooks
Puppet and felt stories
Picture sets and posters
Music tapes
Artefacts
Videos
Educational kits
The resources are available to any individual, community group or government services to develop and promote understanding and inclusion of Australian Indigenous cultures. Schools, preschools and other educational systems are encouraged to borrow the resources to augment their curriculum planning.
A catalogue of the resources at the library will shortly be available on CD-Rom and will be supplied to members on application. This will assist members and centres who may not have direct access to the library to be able to ask for resources to be sent out.
