Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
The C&K Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship (Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care) is a new scholarship program for C&K, commencing in 2017.
This program has been designed to support an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, who can be either a current or future student of the C&K College of Early Childhood.
This C&K scholarship will...
- Cover the cost of student fees (for up to two years) for a Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care through the C&K College of Early Childhood*
- Get you started in Term 1, 2017
- Give you the opportunity to attend the 2017 Queensland Early Childhood Education and Care conference
- Prepare you with vocational placements at C&K services (wherever possible, dependent upon location)
- Provide you with development and mentoring opportunities
- Cover the cost of a First Aid course (including asthma and anaphylaxis) or refresher if required
- Cover the cost of a working with children suitability check (Blue card)
*or student co-contribution fees where accessing DET subsidised training

How do I apply?
Download and read our Scholarship Guidelines and then complete the application form. Applicants are required to complete the Scholarship Application form, provide a written submission and supporting documentation (as outlined in the scholarship guidelines).
When does the program start?
The program will commence at some point during Term 1, 2017. The exact date is dependent upon many factors, such as when an offer is made to an applicant (and accepted).
When do applications close?

All required documentation is to be provided by the closing time and date. Any incomplete or late applications may not be considered.
Where will I study?
The College offers multiple delivery options for their courses, so you may choose to study in a way that suits your location, lifestyle and employment arrangement. Students study at their own pace through distance learning and/or study in a classroom environment at our training campus at Kedron or anywhere a structured program is running.

What if I don’t meet the criteria, are there any other options for me?

What if I live regionally or interstate? Can I participate?
This scholarship is open to Queensland residents, including those located in regional and remote locations. As C&K Services are currently based only in Queensland, this program is not suitable for those located interstate. The C&K College of Early Childhood provides training to students throughout Queensland, no matter where they are located. Students can study externally (see the C&K College of Early Childhood Student Guide for more information on this delivery mode).
