C&K officially unveils its new Central office at Kedron

4 February 2015

Queensland’s largest provider of early childhood education has moved its Central headquarters to a new location and Queensland Governor, the Honorable Paul de Jersey AC, has joined them to help celebrate with an official opening.

The Creche and Kindergarten Association Central Office has moved to Kedron after close to 40 years at its Newmarket base.

The newly-refurbished building at 257 Gympie Rd Kedron was officially opened on Friday with a performance by the Guruman Aboriginal Dance Troupe and the unveiling of a plaque by C&K’s patron, His Excellency the Governor.

C&K CEO Michael Tizard also took the opportunity to launch the C&K Strategic Plan to 2017, saying the move to Kedron marks the beginning of a new era for the organization.

“Our primary focus is that every child has access to quality early childhood education and care to maximize their potential later in life.

“As a sector, early childhood education and care is undergoing a period of unprecedented policy and funding changes, so it’s important that C&K respond through strategic planning”, he said.

“Our Central Office at 257 Gympie Road Kedron will be home to more than 130 staff servicing our 400 kindergartens around Queensland with educational and business support. We’re very happy to now be part of the local Kedron community.”
