What is a Family Day Care?
Family Day Care is an approved form of child care where educators provide care for children in the comfort of their own home.
How is Family Day Care different from a Long Day Care Service?
Educators are able to work flexible hours to suit your needs. The number of children that our educators are able to care for at any one time is smaller than other service types. Looking after a smaller group of children allows our educators to develop strong bonds with the children they care for, and work with families to meet their needs and care requirements, including Before School Care/After School Care, Weekend care, Overnight care, Casual care and Vacation care.
What are the benefits a Family Day Care service?
World class education programs - As educators we use the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework to inform best practice.
Flexible hours - Family Day Care operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, including Before School Care/After School Care, Weekend care, Overnight care, Casual care and Vacation care. Care is provided to meet each family’s needs depending on educator availability.
Individual tailored education and care - Each Family Day Care home is only permitted to provide care for up to 4 children who are under school age with a total of 7 children, including school aged children, in care at any one time
