C&K Willmore Kindergarten & Preschool

Operating Hours

Willmore Kindergarten's program takes children aged between 3.5 years and 5 years. Our program hours are:
Group A: 2 day week Monday & Tuesday 8:00am-3:30pm
Group B: 5 day fortnight. Alternate Wednesdays, every Thursday & Friday 8:25am - 2:35pm.

We have two groups of 22 children within a one-unit centre.

We see children as co-constructors and researchers of their own learning, alongside educators who listen, scaffold, support and provoke the children’s thinking and ideas.  We see the early years as a crucial time in a child’s life where lifelong learning patterns are established.

We want the children in our care to grow with the knowledge of how to be empathic, thoughtful, considerate of others and their world, and to have a voice in their community which is valued. We want the children to feel great about themselves and to develop their identity as both individuals and members of a group.

We believe that children learn best in a play-based environment where abundant, open ended materials are available to enable the children to express their many languages for learning. We regularly use the word safe with the children to ensure that is how they feel at all times when at Willmore.  We believe that children need to feel safe and connected in order to learn.

We believe that our place is a warm and welcoming one where individuality is celebrated, where children and families are loved, nurtured and heard, where everyone is accepted and because of these integral components children can be passionate learners.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2020 & 2021 waiting lists. The 2022 waiting list will be open in January 2020.
If you would like to enrol your child please complete our waiting list application and return it to the kindergarten. A non-refundable waiting list fee of $10.00 is payable upon enrolment.
Having spent years moving from place to place we have never met anyone with as much passion, love, drive and commitment as Linda and Linda. They quickly made us and our son feel most at ease and comfortable. Not only did they quickly win the trust of our son, but our whole family, always remembering all of our names and genuinely having an interest in us.
We are so grateful for Linda Fox with her warm heart, tender touch and beautiful calm nature and for Linda Meinicke's kindness, contagious laugh and bubbly outgoing fun personality. It's not everyday kids get to hear a tune from Frank the upside down guitar!!
With thanks to these talented women, what a wonderful thriving, exciting, changing, creative, experimental, crazy adventurous, challenging and not to mention FUN environment that was constantly created for our children every day.
Our son thrived at Willmore as he was constantly given the opportunity to use his imagination allowing him to be adventurous, creative and use his instincts, which has allowed him to develop problem solving skills and focus his attention on things.
Thank you wonderful ladies for allowing our son to be who he wanted to be and embracing his challenges and working with him with such love and devotion. You've not only taught him, but us as parents. You have constantly reminded us we have a beautiful talented boy. Thank you.
Thank you for reminded us how important play is and for encouraging us to get in there with our kids and help them explore, create and investigate. We will always cherish these fond memories as we move forward to the next stage of our life, and be forever thankful our son had the opportunity to attend and outstanding Kindy.
Many thanks, The Staples Family
Willmore Kindergarten is a welcoming, friendly and warm environment, with a genuine community feel. We were so happy to have our son attend Willmore, he was nurtured and encouraged with his learning and we saw him display more confidence, creativity and initiative during his year at Willmore. It really is a family-like centre, the teachers and staff are positive role models and are dedicated to each and every child's kindergarten learning experience. We would recommend Willmore Kindergarten to anyone considering kindergarten for their child. And with a choice of long or short days to suit work/family balance, it is even more reason to join the Willmore Community.
Katrina and Brian De Hayr,
Willmore is a truly beautiful place. The grounds are amazing with its cute fairy garden and little wooden bridge to its fun outdoor area, big sand put and fun inside area. The children instantly love it there. Besides its beautiful warm environment, the absolute best thing about Willmore is its beautiful teachers. You can tell on first meeting them how much they truly love their jobs. They love creating a nurturing and fun place for the children to play and learn. The children are constantly learning new things, making fiends, playing and having so much fun! Our son had speech delays and rarely spoke when we first arrived at Kindy and now he is so chatty and happy and has made lots of wonderful friends. He has grown into such a beautiful boy thanks to the wonderful time he as spent at Willmore.
Thanks Judy, Linda and Linda for all your hard work!!!
Leanne and Trent Lind

Kindergarten, also known as pre-prep or preschool, is a program for children in the year before they attend school. When places are available, 3-year old children can attend.

C&K's kindergarten programs are guided by university-qualified teachers and support children to be curious, capable, and collaborative learners.

At C&K we know that children do not learn in isolation, for us learning is partnership between teachers, children, parents, and communities.

All C&K centres feature Listening and Learning Together: The C&K Curriculum Approach. The learning outcomes in our approach align with both The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF), and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).

Our approach continues the longstanding traditions and philosophical commitments of C&K to our children, families and communities. Read more about the history of C&K.

We've designed our indoor and outdoor spaces to ignite imaginations, nurture healthy minds and bodies, as children explore, experiment, play and learn.

Learning through play is an integral part of our education program. Our educators skilfully enrich and extend on children's play experiences, creating a learning program that is tailored and meaningful for your child.

Your child's learning journey is shared with you via conversations with your child's educators, through written documentation in your centre and through StoryPark (an app and website).
