Students completing an early childhood education and care course through The Creche and Kindergarten Association's C&K College of Early Childhood are guaranteed a vocational placement in a C&K service, to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding of the role of an Educator, to work successfully with children.
Our Student Services Advisor and our Trainers and Assessors are committed to making your study experience with us enjoyable and interesting.
In addition, if you’re a C&K employee, you’ll be able to take advantage of our subsidised training for full-time and part-time staff, meaning you can work and learn with the support of our organisation.
The Creche and Kindergarten Association is also able to offer both Traineeship and Apprenticeship pathways through the C&K College. Please refer to C&K Careers.
The programs offered by C&K College of Early Childhood incorporate the on-line professional development course by Dr Kaylene Henderson, ‘Raising Good Kids: Managing Behaviour and Emotions in Early Childhood Care and Education Settings'.
The online early childhood professional development course series has been developed specifically for childcare and education professionals. The course content links with the National Quality Standards, the Early Years Learning Framework and with practical examples through the course, the course is equally relevant to Certificate III and Diploma students.
Course Funding Options
Through the Queensland Department of Education and Training subsidised training programs, the C&K College is able to offer:
- Certificate 3 Guarantee – Certificate III course only
- Year 12 school leaver FEE-Free Training for Certificate III course
- Higher Levels Skills – Certificate III and Diploma courses
- User Choice Program (Traineeships/Apprenticeships)
A student co-contribution fee is required and may be paid in part, or in full, on behalf of the student by their employer or another third party. You may also be eligible to access VET FEE-HELP to cover all or part of your co-contribution fee when accessing subsidised training for the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Study now and pay later with VET FEE-HELP
The C&K College of Early Childhood is required to assess the capacity of each Diploma student to complete the program before enrolment and before the offer of a VET FEE-HELP loan.
The minimum requirement for enrolment includes proof of completing Year 12 (or equivalent) or proof of competency in core skills to a level appropriate for the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. The C&K College of Early Childhood has an online assessment tool for establishing that each student is academically suited and will meet the literacy and numeracy requirements of the program.
