Dimbulah Community Kindergarten and Childcare
At Dimbulah Community Kindergarten and Childcare, we welcome families from the Dimbulah and surrounding areas who are seeking education and care for their children.Dimbulah Community Kindergarten was officially opened on 4th September 1993 by an enthusiastic and dedicated group of parents. The Limited Hours Childcare service opened on 8th October 2004 and merged with the kindy under the one approved provider on 1st January 2024.We respectfully acknowledge the Mbarbaram and Djungan people, the Traditional Owners of the land on which our centre is situated, along with the diverse multicultural community who enrich our service. We believe that children learn through play and assist every child in developing their understanding and respect for themselves and others in a safe and caring environment. We believe that families are a child's first teachers and are critically important in the education of their children. We believe our dedicated and consistent staff are an integral part of each child’s development and education. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays and pupil-free days (kindy only). As an affiliated centre of C&K, Dimbulah Community Kindergarten and Childcare receives support from C&K as the Central Governing Body but operates as an independent incorporated association managed by a Volunteer Management Committee. Centres affiliated with C&K receive comprehensive support in governance, including managing kindergarten and inclusion funding, training for committees and educators, advice and support regarding inclusion, use of the C&K brand, curriculum approach and resource materials.
