C&K Banyo Station embraces Listening and Learning Together: C&K Curriculum Approach which is a play-based, emergent and co-constructed curriculum giving emphasis to encouraging children to express and transform their ideas and understandings in play and the many languages of children. Children are encouraged to represent their own world in order to learn about and understand their world. In the process of representation, as they actively play and interact with others, engage with a rich variety of materials and ideas, children’s language and social abilities are fostered.

Language, literacy and numeracy are embedded in a program where children are recognised as thinkers and theorises. They are encouraged to think flexibly and creatively as they seek solutions to conflicts and problems. Children are empowered to make their own decisions and choices.

They have many opportunities to respond to the beauty and order of the natural world. Most significantly, children learn best when they have available to them a knowledgeable and informed adult, capable of engaging them intellectually as well as emotionally, and who is in turn capable of being engaged intellectually and emotionally by them.

The following options exist to enrol your child at this service:

  1. Enrol now - please call us on 3267 6480 or email us to see if there is a place for your child.
  2. Enrol later - please click "Enrol online" button above to add your child's name to our list.  You will be redirected to an external website, where you will need to create a login and password and complete an online form. You won't be charged a fee. We will contact you when a space becomes available, by the date you added your child to our list and whether your child has been identified as a priority by the Australian government.

C&K has developed a Birth to Three approach which informs the way we care for and educate our babies and toddlers. Our philosophy for this age is to “slow down” and be in the moment with your child as they learn and explore the world. We focus on developing a deep and trusting relationship with each child.

All C&K childcare centres feature the quality C&K kindergarten program. Kindergarten, also known as pre-prep or preschool, is a program for children who are turning 4 by June 30 in the year before they attend school. C&K’s kindy programs are guided by University qualified teachers and support children’s curiosity, creativity, problem solving, resilience and real-world knowledge and skills.
