C&K Central Support

The C&K College is a registered training organisation (RTO) that delivers Certificate III and Diploma qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care. We also support centres by delivering the the required training for Traineeships and Apprenticeships. As an RTO we also have the provide micro-credential courses to extend ECEC employees qualifications.

Education and research are foundational pillars that inform pedagogical choices at C&K. The Education & Research team supports teachers and educators to align practice and pedagogy with the EYLF V2.0 and QKLG 2024 as well as emerging research. We provide support with Educational Leadership, the Beginning to Teach program, Nature Pedagogy, CTLJ, Storypark and practitioner research. You will find stories of practice to inspire new thinking on the Ed Hub and video examples of exceptional and experienced teachers in the new Professional Tool Kit.

The facilities team is responsible for the maintenance of our centres; including breakdown and planned maintenance functions. We are also responsible for maintenance plan centre upgrades, vehicle fleet management, insurance claim processing, leases, cleaning, and grounds maintenance.

The C&K IT Team supports staff across kindergartens, childcares and central office by ensuring seamless access to technology and secure, reliable systems.  We assist with troubleshooting IT issues, managing passwords and login challenges, and maintaining consistent internet and printing access to keep daily operations running smoothly. The team proactively replaces hardware when required and upgrades and enhances systems to support evolving business needs. Committed to security and compliance, the IT team adheres to strict policies while continuously monitoring and securing systems against potential threats. Our work ensures staff can focus on delivering quality education and care without IT disruptions.

The C&K Legal, Risk, and Governance (LRG) team collaborates with various departments across the organisation to address legal, risk, and governance matters. We identify legal risks related to business operations and organisational activities. The team offers advice on assessing, controlling, and evaluating these risks to maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The team also offers advice on interpreting legal matters. We also review and help maintain key risk management resources making sure these tools remain effective and up to date. Internal policies are developed and updated in accordance with the Risk Management Framework to ensure organisational practices comply with current legal standards and established procedures.

We also oversee all compliance training and onboarding training for employees.
 

The Marketing team is responsible for promoting C&K as a recognised leader in early childhood education and care. We support centres through local area marketing initiatives and resources and deliver state-wide advertising campaigns to build brand awareness, grow waitlists, and support enrolment targets. Our team manages social media, the website, promotional materials, local events, and branded items such as children’s hats and t-shirts. We also collaborate with central business units, providing marketing support to Talent Acquisition to enhance recruitment outcomes, and to C&K College to help attract prospective students.

The Payroll team is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee wages, superannuation, tax and leave entitlements. We manage the payroll system, reporting, tax compliance and award interpretation and provide payroll support across the organisation. The team also oversees the time and attendance (TNA) system, Easy Employer, and provides training to ensure timesheets and data is accurately recorded. With a focus on efficiency, accuracy and confidentiality, the Payroll team ensures the processing of salaries is meeting all deadlines while supporting and maintaining compliance.

Our People Experience team is dedicated to support all C&K team members by providing expert advice, useful performance support systems and great resources to better understand your employment conditions and policies.

Looking for information on what you can buy, from whom, and how to get support? Procurement is your go-to source for current arrangements and approved suppliers. We can assist with key arrangements including: children’s resources, centre supplies, travel, name badges, staff uniforms and C&K publications. 

The Quality and Regulations team oversee and support centres in meeting the National Quality Standards. Along with your ECEM and ECPA, our team provide expert advice across all quality areas and support in completing your QIP and supporting documentation. We also oversee the updating and implementing centre policy and procedure updates, and child safety and safeguarding. The team also manage online feedback and provide advice on quality and regulation matters.

C&K’s Talent Acquisition team partners with centres and central teams to find candidates who align with our values and uphold our child safety commitment. We handle job postings, resume screening, and thorough candidate assessments, ensuring hiring managers interview only the most suitable people. When filling positions, we work to understand your specific needs and what drives success in your team. Our comprehensive processes include background checks that meet national quality standards. We provide regular updates, answer questions, and adapt our approach based on results. The C&K Service Support team are here to assist you with access to Kidsoft (all centres), ChildcareNow (CCS ONLY) and the Inclusion Support Portal (CCS ONLY).

The Wellbeing and Inclusion team partners with services to strengthen inclusive practice and positive outcomes for all children. We manage KISS funding and Kindy Uplift initiatives, provide targeted professional development, and offer hands on support for educators. For children with complex or intensive needs, we deliver ongoing and tailored guidance, helping services create environments where every child can thrive.

The Work Health and Safety (WHS) team supports centres in creating and maintaining compliance to ensure safe, healthy, and supportive work and learning environments. We provide guidance on injury management and rehabilitation, emergency management, risk assessment, chemical management, and general WHS requirements. Through practical support and proactive strategies, we help centres manage risks, respond to WHS incidents, and build strong safety cultures where both staff and children can thrive.

The CGB team supports C&K Affiliated Centres with governance, funding, policies and procedures, and provides guidance to the Volunteer Management Committee. Together with the ECEMs, we provide a range of resources and expert advice that support our Affiliated Centres to successfully delivery quality early learning programs.
