Welcome

C&K Clinton Community Childcare Centre offers early childhood education and care for children aged between 6 weeks and school age.

By experiencing our Birth to Three Approach, where relationships form the foundation of the curriculum, your young child will be supported by key educators in an environment that is both calm and engaging. With routines that are flexible to your child's individual needs, our professional education team will assist your child to participate in the program within their age group whilst ensuring that they have plentiful opportunities for respectful, individualised care moments throughout the day.

Being a part of the C&K Clinton Community Childcare Centre allows your child to transition smoothly from our younger rooms to our Kindergarten program. Run by our fully qualified teacher, our government approved kindergarten program is the perfect place for your child to flourish in their pre-prep year. Studies show that children who participate in quality Kindergarten, transition more easily to school and perform better than children who do not participate in a kindergarten program.

At C&K we offer a unique curriculum to guide early learning, known as Listening and Learning Together: C&K Curriculum Approach This framework promotes the importance of the early years in laying the foundation for success in life and learning. Listening and Learning Together: C&K Curriculum Approach compliments Australia's Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and embraces the vision that all children should experience learning that is engaging and builds success for life. Children, family and educators actively engage in and contribute to building knowledge together to extend learning, promote inclusion and sustain feelings of belonging, Our use of Storypark enables families to access their child's learning stories and photos via their home computer or mobile and to share stories of their own from home.

Set on a bush block we offer a large, open, natural play space that is much larger than the prescribed minimum standard, where children can explore the natural environment and surroundings. C&K believe in and value the outdoors as a major part of our approach to teaching and learning. Our outdoor play space provides many opportunities to engage children in relationships, learning, fun and recreation whilst encouraging adventure and exploration in a safe and natural environment.

Child-Led Learning

No two days are the same at C&K Clinton. Our teaching team tailors each day’s learning, taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious and natural environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and we allocate plenty of time for outdoor play and discovery.

Community Spirit

Community spirit is important to us at C&K Clinton. We foster strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us and taking the children on excursions out into the local community.

C&K has developed a Birth to Three approach which informs the way we care for and educate our babies and toddlers. Our philosophy for this age is to “slow down” and be in the moment with your child as they learn and explore the world. We focus on developing a deep and trusting relationship with each child.

All C&K childcare centres feature the quality C&K kindergarten program. Kindergarten, also known as pre-prep or preschool, is a program for children who are turning 4 by June 30 in the year before they attend school. C&K’s kindy programs are guided by University qualified teachers and support children’s curiosity, creativity, problem solving, resilience and real-world knowledge and skills.

At C&K we know that children do not learn in isolation, learning is a collaborative process between teachers, children and parents. The physical indoor and outdoor environment also plays a part. At C&K we believe children are competent and capable learners, and approach our education program with this in mind.
