Free Kindy at C&K

Your child can access free kindy in Queensland by enrolling in an approved kindergarten program at a C&K centre. To be eligible, your child must turn 4 years old by 30 June in the year they attend kindergarten and meet residency requirements (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible visa holder).

Yes, Free Kindy is available at all C&K community kindergartens and childcare centres, as we provide the Governement approved Kindergarten program.

If your child attends a C&K childcare centre and is eligible for Child Care Subsify (CCS), then yes, you can. Your CCS will reduce the costs of care after the weekly 15 hours of Free Kindy.

If your child is attending as a three-year-old, fees may apply (known as the non-eligible fee). These fees are different for each kindy and can be viewed on the kindy's webpage. The non-eligible fee is updated every year in December for the following year.
