Welcome to C&K Newmarket Community Childcare.

Our service is a community-based, not for profit centre, providing quality education and care for young children. We are a 57 place centre catering for children aged 0-5 years. We implement our own C&K developed curriculum, ‘Building Waterfalls’. The curriculum features:

  • Play-based learning that is childcentred and initiated
  • Individual and group negotiated experiences
  • Open ended environment and resources
  • Children are respected as competent and capable citizens
  • Partnerships between children/families/staff are valued
  • Recognition of children as lifelong learners

Child-Led Learning

No two days are the same at C&K Newmarket Child Care. Our teaching team tailor each day’s learning taking into account the interests of the children in the group.  The spacious environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and time spent discovering the natural environment outdoors.

Community Spirit

Community spirit is important to us at C&K Newmarket Child Care. We foster our strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us.

C&K has developed a Birth to Three approach which informs the way we care for and educate our babies and toddlers. Our philosophy for this age is to “slow down” and be in the moment with your child as they learn and explore the world. We focus on developing a deep and trusting relationship with each child.

All C&K childcare centres feature the quality C&K kindergarten program. Kindergarten, also known as pre-prep or preschool, is a program for children who are turning 4 by June 30 in the year before they attend school. C&K’s kindy programs are guided by University qualified teachers and support children’s curiosity, creativity, problem solving, resilience and real-world knowledge and skills.

At C&K we know that children do not learn in isolation, learning is a collaborative process between teachers, children and parents. The physical indoor and outdoor environment also plays a part. At C&K we believe children are competent and capable learners, and approach our education program with this in mind.

What subsidies are available?

The Australian Government helps families with the cost of childcare. For more information, please visit Services Australia.

How can flexible bookings help?

C&K offers flexible booking options, designed to help you maximise your Child Care Subsidy and access to early childhood education and care while minimising family's out-of-pocket costs. Our 9 and 10 hour sessions work in with your schedule and start once your child is signed in, not a set start and finish time.

I have more questions, who can I talk to?

If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact us on 07 3356 7333.

How does C&K decide fees?

As a not-for-profit organisation, C&K reinvests any surplus back into our centres and programs to better achieve outcomes for all children and communities.

We aim to keep fees affordable for families and have developed a fee system to maximise family access to available subsidies. Read more about C&K's fee policies.
