C&K Stones Corner Community Kindergarten Inc

Nestled within Hanlon Park, surrounded by nature, you will find a hub of curiosity and creativity, love and laughter. Busy little minds at work and play… Discovering and learning, independently and together. Dedicated teachers and parents are nurturing and inspiring them. We would be thrilled to have your family join us too at Stones Corner Community Kindergarten. We are a not-for-profit organisation run by the parents of the current students through an elected Management Committee. Our centre Director and educators support the management committee in providing a beautiful educational environment for the children to explore and learn within.

We promote family involvement in all areas of the Kindergarten and value our connection to the local community. Stones Corner Community Kindergarten has provided pre-schooling services to the local area for over 55 years. We are proud of our ongoing connections with past students and families, and with the local Bushcare group, schools and businesses.

Our Kindergarten has two groups that attend throughout a week:

  • Group A attends Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:30am - 4pm
  • Group B attends Thursdays, Fridays and alternate Wednesdays from 8:30am - 2:30pm
  • Kindy Play, a playgroup of all children 0-5 years, runs on alternate Wednesdays.

We follow Queensland State School holidays. Please contact us for specific start dates.

The best way to make an enrolment inquiry is to contact the centre directly on 07 3397 9469 or admin@stonescornerkindergarten.com.au

2020 Enrolments have been offered. Please contact the Kindy to be placed on the waiting list. 2021 Enrolments will be offered mid-year. We would suggest submitting a waiting list form as soon as possible.

Kindergarten, also known as pre-prep or preschool, is a program for children in the year before they attend school. When places are available, 3-year old children can attend.

C&K's kindergarten programs are guided by university-qualified teachers and support children to be curious, capable, and collaborative learners.

At C&K we know that children do not learn in isolation, for us learning is partnership between teachers, children, parents, and communities.

All C&K centres feature Listening and Learning Together: The C&K Curriculum Approach. The learning outcomes in our approach align with both The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF), and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).

Our approach continues the longstanding traditions and philosophical commitments of C&K to our children, families and communities. Read more about the history of C&K.

We've designed our indoor and outdoor spaces to ignite imaginations, nurture healthy minds and bodies, as children explore, experiment, play and learn.

Learning through play is an integral part of our education program. Our educators skilfully enrich and extend on children's play experiences, creating a learning program that is tailored and meaningful for your child.

Your child's learning journey is shared with you via conversations with your child's educators, through written documentation in your centre and through StoryPark (an app and website).
