Mudjimba Community Kindergarten & Preschool
Welcome to Mudjimba Community Kindergarten & Preschool. At Mudjimba Community Kindergarten we value building genuine connections and fostering trust with children, families and community. We place emphasis on the emotional and social development of children, ensuring that their well- being and happiness are central to our educational philosophy. We are deeply committed to embedding a play-based program where children’s voices and interests are respected and listened to. We value children's need to play and recognise it as a fundamental aspect of children's development, where they learn about themselves, their environment, and others. Play is seen as meaningful work that helps children make sense of the world around them.
Our bush surrounds and open spaces are considered a special ‘gift’ to us here at Mudjimba Kindy. We know how important connecting with nature is for our wellbeing and also in gaining understandings around respecting and protecting our natural world, building knowledge about preservation and protection. We strongly believe that interacting with and ‘in’ our bush area is what will develop these genuine, deeper connections and understandings.
We access our back bush area on a regular basis and take the children on excursions to our local beach down the end of our road. How lucky are we to have so much nature on our doorstep!
We have 2 program groups to choose from, so you can enrol your child in a group that best meets your family's needs.

Kilkivan Kindergarten
Welcome to Kilkivan Kindergarten. We are a small rural kindy in a wonderful community about half an hour west of Gympie. Our kindy is supported by a strong, active group of families and community members who believe in the value of early years education and have stuck with and supported us through the years.
Our kindy is located in a character-filled, warm and welcoming building, surrounded by an exciting and inviting playground. Our staff and management committee are friendly and committed.
We believe that all children have a right to quality early education that is accessible, inclusive and respectful. Children’s learning should be fun and exciting, with time to think, experiment, wonder, and take safe risks and make mistakes. We foster a sense of belonging and value within the local and global community. As their child’s first and best educators, families have a right to expect quality education to continue as their child attends kindy and to be valued, included and involved in that process. Our kindy is a safe, non-judgmental, caring and welcoming environment where parents and children feel happy to come. Staff model the values and attitudes they wish to see reflected in the children, and approach teaching and learning with a sense of wonder and curiosity.
