Caloundra Community Kindergarten
Steeped in history, our Kindergarten has been around for 60 years (established in 1965!). In fact, we are a third-generation kindergarten, and we're proud to say that we have families where grandparents, parents and children have all passed through our doors.
Here at Caloundra Community Kindergarten, we believe that nature is the best environment to nurture children. Not only do we educate sustainability and recycling and encourage waste-free lunch boxes, but we have a menagerie of animals on site, too: chooks, worms, native bees, frogs, butterflies, and a fairy garden.
Our happy, experienced educators provide an amazingly inspirational play-based learning environment. The natural space for children to grow. Together, our staff have nearly 100 years of experience delivering learning excellence specifically for 3-5 year old Kindergarten children.
At Caloundra Community Kindergarten, we have two Kindy groups to choose from. All groups ensure children receive the same number of hours of education across the year. The groups have a maximum of 25 children and are led by an experienced and qualified early childhood teacher. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays and some pupil free days.
As an affiliated centre of C&K, Caloundra Community Kindergarten receives support from C&K as the Central Governing Body but operates as an independent incorporated association managed by a volunteer management committee. Centres affiliated with C&K receive comprehensive support in governance, including managing kindergarten and inclusion funding, training for committees and educators, advice and support regarding inclusion, use of the C&K brand, curriculum approach and resource materials.
Please note all children must be up to date with vaccinations to be enrolled at Caloundra Community Kindergarten.
