At C&K Tin Can Bay, we have one kindy group to choose from. Each group has a maximum of 22 children and is led by an experienced and qualified early childhood teacher. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays, and some pupil-free days.
C&K Tin Can Bay Community Kindergarten offers a subsidised pre-kindy program for three-year-olds in term 4, 2024. To be eligible for this program, children need to have turned three by 30 June 2024.Your three-year-old child can attend C&K Tin Can Bay's high-quality community kindergarten program alongside four-year-olds. Attending kindergarten provides learning opportunities for your child in a safe and nurturing environment, including building relationships with teachers and growing their confidence and social skills to engage with other children.C&K Tin Can Bay is located on Snapper Creek Road, Tin Can Bay, next to Tin Can Bay State School.

The heart of C&K Slade Point Community Kindergarten is a vibrant puppet named Edgar, who is doing more than just entertaining, he’s transforming lives. Edgar began as a simple tool to support emotional regulation. But what followed was nothing short of extraordinary. With his bright colours and gentle presence, Edgar quickly became a beloved "teacher" among children, easing transitions, sparking joy, and fostering kindness.
From calming anxious little ones to encouraging heartfelt acts of compassion through “Edgar’s Kindness Wall,” Edgar’s impact ripples through every corner of the kindergarten. His ability to connect with children has inspired a deeper partnership between early childhood and primary educators, helping to create smoother transitions and shared teaching practices.
Edgar may be made of fabric and fluff, but the magic he brings is very real. He’s not just a puppet; he’s a catalyst for joy, empathy, creativity, and community-wide transformation.
