Biggenden & District Kindergarten
The Biggenden & District Kindergarten & Daycare is a community based not-for-profit organisation. We operate a Kindergarten program on Tuesdays, Thursdays and alternate Wednesdays and a day care program which is offered each Monday and Friday. At Biggenden & District Kindergarten, we have one kindy group. All groups ensure children receive the same number of hours of education across the year. The groups have a maximum of 22 children and are led by an experienced and qualified early childhood teacher. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays and some pupil free days.
Biggenden & District Kindergarten offers a subsidised pre-kindy program for three-year-olds in term 4, 2024. To be eligible for this program, children need to have turned three by 30 June 2024.Your three-year-old child can attend Biggenden & District kindy's high-quality community kindergarten program alongside four-year-olds. Attending kindergarten provides learning opportunities for your child in a safe and nurturing environment, including building relationships with teachers and growing their confidence and social skills to engage with other children.As an affiliated centre of C&K, Biggenden & District receives support from C&K as the Central Governing Body but operates as an independent incorporated association managed by a volunteer management committee. Centres affiliated with C&K receive comprehensive support in governance, including managing kindergarten and inclusion funding, training for committees and educators, advice and support regarding inclusion, use of the C&K brand, curriculum approach and resource materials.
Isis Community Preschool & Kindergarten
Welcome to Isis Community Pre-school and Kindergarten. Located in the rural township of Childers, in 2020 our centre celebrated 60 years of educating and caring for children of the district.
We pride ourselves on our warm, welcoming and spacious outdoor and indoor environment. Some of the children attending Isis Community Pre-school and Kindergarten are the fourth generation to do so. Our staff live in the local community and enjoy getting to know all the children and their families so that we establish strong relationships with everyone. 'Fun, Friendship and Learning Through Play' is our motto and that is what we love doing every day.
