C&K Trinity Beach Community Kindergarten

Welcome to Trinity Beach Community Kindergarten

Our kindergarten operates with 2 groups of 22 Pre-Prep aged children. Children attend our kindy for 5 days a fortnight. Our kindy sessions run from 8.20am - 2.30pm each day.

Trinity Beach Kindy is a beautiful spacious timber pole building with large verandas and lots of shady areas for outdoor play. At Trinity Beach Kindy we aim to create an environment that is safe, warm, relaxed and nuturing; ensuring children, their families and educators feel a sense of belonging. Our kindy program incorporates rich learning environments that promote inquiry, choice, independence, confidence, communication and interaction. Outdoor learning environments including nature are valued for their importance in engaging the senses, teaching respectful interactions with the environment, developing problem solving and creative thinking, building connections with nature as well as supporting children's holistic learning and development.

Our kindergarten program is based upon the daily observed needs and interests of children, knowledge of child development and educational theories and current research. We believe that children learn best through play and that play and learning are intertwined.

Bush Kindy is an integral part of our kindy program. Trinity Beach Bush Kindy uses a natural outdoor environment to inspire children and offers children opportunities to achieve, develop confidence and a strong sense of well being through hands on learning in nature. For more information about Bush Kindy please refer to our flyer.

Kindergarten, also known as pre-prep or preschool, is a program for children in the year before they attend school. When places are available, 3-year old children may be able to attend.

C&K's kindergarten programs are guided by university-qualified teachers and support children to be curious, capable, and collaborative learners.

At C&K we know that children do not learn in isolation, for us learning is partnership between teachers, children, parents, and communities.

Our curriculum approach, Listening and Learning Together, aligns with both The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF), and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).

It continues the longstanding traditions and philosophical commitments of C&K to our children, families and communities. Read more about the history of C&K.

We've designed our indoor and outdoor spaces to ignite imaginations, nurture healthy minds and bodies, as children explore, experiment, play and learn.

Learning through play is an integral part of our education program. Our educators skilfully enrich and extend on children's play experiences, creating a learning program that is tailored and meaningful for your child.

Your child's learning journey is shared with you via conversations with your child's educators and through written documentation in your centre, and in some centres through StoryPark (an app and website).
