Kindergarten program details
At Trinity Beach Community Kindergarten, we have two kindy groups to choose from. All groups ensure children receive the same number of hours of education across the year. The groups have a maximum of 22 children and are led by an experienced and qualified early childhood teacher. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays and some pupil free days.
- Group 1 (Starfish): Monday, Tuesday and alternate Wednesdays, 8:20am to 2:30pm
- Group 2 (Dolphins): Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesdays, 8:20am to 2:30pm
Free Pre-kindy Program
Trinity Beach Community Kindergarten offers a subsidised pre-kindy program for three-year-olds in terms 3 and 4, 2024. To be eligible for this program, children need to have turned three by 30 June 2024.
Your three-year-old child can attend Trinity Beach kindy's high-quality community kindergarten program alongside four-year-olds. Attending kindergarten provides learning opportunities for your child in a safe and nurturing environment, including building relationships with teachers and growing their confidence and social skills to engage with other children.

About our kindy
Welcome to Trinity Beach Community Kindergarten. Trinity Beach Kindy is a beautiful spacious timber pole building with large verandas and lots of shady areas for outdoor play. At Trinity Beach Kindy we aim to create an environment that is safe, warm, relaxed and nuturing; ensuring children, their families and educators feel a sense of belonging. Our kindy program incorporates rich learning environments that promote inquiry, choice, independence, confidence, communication and interaction. Outdoor learning environments including nature are valued for their importance in engaging the senses, teaching respectful interactions with the environment, developing problem solving and creative thinking, building connections with nature as well as supporting children's holistic learning and development.
Our kindergarten program is based upon the daily observed needs and interests of children, knowledge of child development and educational theories and current research. We believe that children learn best through play and that play and learning are intertwined.
Bush Kindy is an integral part of our kindy program. Trinity Beach Bush Kindy uses a natural outdoor environment to inspire children and offers children opportunities to achieve, develop confidence and a strong sense of well being through hands on learning in nature.
C&K Affiliated Centre
As an affiliated centre of C&K, Trinity Beach kindy receives support from C&K as the Central Governing Body but operates as an independent incorporated association, managed by a volunteer management committee. Centres affiliated with C&K receive comprehensive support in governance including managing kindergarten and inclusion funding, training for committees and educators, advice, and support regarding inclusion, use of the C&K brand, curriculum approach and resource materials.
Child-Led Learning
No two days are the same at Trinity Beach kindy. Our teaching team tailor each day’s learning taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and time spent discovering the natural environment outdoors.
Community Spirit
Community spirit is important to us at Trinity Beach kindy. We foster our strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent input and involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten and programming decisions. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us.
