Welcome

Yeronga Park Kindergarten was established in 1950 and is a community run, not-for-profit kindergarten managed by the parents of children attending the centre. We are proud to have been rated as "Exceeding" the National Quality Standard in all 7 assessable areas.

The kindy grounds are shady and spacious and include a wonderful treehouse, sandpit, and covered play areas with landscaped gardens built to entice little gardeners and imaginative minds. It is an extremely well resourced centre and we invite you to come and visit us, meet our pet chickens and see our wonderful kindy environment for yourself.

Our staff are experienced, nurturing, and innovative. They have welcomed generations of children and their families to the kindy and invite you to visit at any time.

Our Wait Lists are open from birth. The Wait List form available here (PDF) can be returned to us by post, email or by visiting the centre at a time convenient to you. No appointment is necessary.

Offers of Enrolment for Kindy in 2020 (ie children born between 1 July 2015 and 30 June 2016) will commence in July 2019.

Children are offered places in Wait List order. If your child is not already on our wait list we recommend adding them as soon as possible.

We hold an Open Day each year and welcome all prospective families to join us for the morning to view our wonderful facilities and meet our staff. Invitations are sent our to families on the following year's wait list and details are advertised on our Facebook page.

Kindergarten, also known as pre-prep or preschool, is a program for children in the year before they attend school. When places are available, 3-year old children can attend.

C&K's kindergarten programs are guided by university-qualified teachers and support children to be curious, capable, and collaborative learners.

At C&K we know that children do not learn in isolation, for us learning is partnership between teachers, children, parents, and communities.

All C&K centres feature Listening and Learning Together: The C&K Curriculum Approach. The learning outcomes in our approach align with both The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF), and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).

Our approach continues the longstanding traditions and philosophical commitments of C&K to our children, families and communities. Read more about the history of C&K.

We've designed our indoor and outdoor spaces to ignite imaginations, nurture healthy minds and bodies, as children explore, experiment, play and learn.

Learning through play is an integral part of our education program. Our educators skilfully enrich and extend on children's play experiences, creating a learning program that is tailored and meaningful for your child.

Your child's learning journey is shared with you via conversations with your child's educators, through written documentation in your centre and through StoryPark (an app and website).
