At C&K Banksia Beach Community Kindergarten on Bribie Island, your child will feel safe, welcomed and connected. We are a warm, community-focused kindergarten where every child is known, valued and supported to grow at their own pace. Our philosophy is grounded in strong relationships, nature play, gentle rhythms and a deep commitment to children’s social and emotional wellbeing.
Our natural indoor–outdoor environment invites children to explore slowly and intentionally, following their curiosity through moments of wonder, movement and stillness. Nature is central to our days, offering space to climb, dig, create and rest, while nurturing each child’s sense of belonging and connection to place.
Our program flows with gentle, predictable rhythms that help children feel secure. Through warm interactions, shared rituals and calm transitions, children build confidence, resilience and an understanding of themselves and others. Social and emotional learning is woven through everything we do, supporting children to name their feelings, build friendships and develop their own strategies for self-regulation.
We cherish our partnerships with families and work closely with you to understand your child’s strengths, interests and needs. Your stories, culture and hopes become part of our shared life at kindy, enriching our community and shaping the learning environment.
At C&K Banksia Beach, we operate one kindy group each year with a maximum of 22 children, led by an experienced early childhood teacher and a dedicated team. We follow Queensland school terms and are closed during school holidays, public holidays and designated pupil-free days.
Located on Alpinia Avenue and co-located with Banksia Beach State School, we are proud to be part of a connected and supportive community.

All our kindergartens deliver C&K's quality kindergarten program. Kindergarten, also known as pre-prep or preschool, is a program for children who are turning 4 by June 30 in the year before they attend school. C&K’s kindy programs are government-approved and led by experienced and university qualified teachers. Our program supports children’s curiosity, creativity, problem solving, resilience and real-world knowledge and skills.
At C&K, we know that children do not learn in isolation, so we approach learning as a collaborative relationship between teachers, educators, children and families. We believe children are powerful learners, active citizens, thinkers and theorisers - this is at the heart of our early childhood curriculum. We've designed our indoor and outdoor spaces to ignite imaginations and nurture healthy minds and bodies. Learning through play is an integral part of our education program. Our educators skilfully enrich and extend children's playexperiences, creating a learning program that is tailored and meaningful for your child.
Your child’s learning journey is shared with you via conversations with your child’s educators, through written documentation and through Storypark (an app and website).
Enrolment Fee: The enrolment fee is a one-off, non-refundable fee payable when you confirm your child’s enrolment. Some families may be exempt from paying the enrolment fee.
Queensland Kindergarten Funding: The Queensland Government provides funding for eligible-aged children (children turning 4 by 30 June, in the year they attend a kindy program), attending a centre delivering a government-approved kindergarten program. This funding allows your eligible-aged child to attend kindergarten for free.
Non-eligible-aged Children: Enrolment priority is given to eligible-age children, but if there are places available, we welcome 3-year-old children to enrol and attend for two years. The Queensland Kindergarten Funding does not apply for 3-year-old children, and the non-eligible kindy daily fee will apply. Please contact us for more information on fees for 3-year-old children and to discuss your family's situation.
