Esk & District Kindergarten
Welcome to C&K Esk & District Kindergarten Ass. Inc. We are a dedicated Kindergarten, offering quality education and care. We are located at 26 South Street, Esk. Our centre has stimulating indoor and outdoor environments that offer a range of opportunities for children to learn through play. We are a not-for-profit community Kindergarten, operated and managed by volunteers, affiliated with C&K and licensed through the Office of Early Childhood Education and Care. At the start of each year, a committee of parent volunteers are elected at the AGM to manage the centre. We believe that children are competent and capable individuals and their rights are paramount. Our play-based learning provides opportunities for children to explore, solve problems, develop friendships, imagine and create, while also enhancing their language, literacy and numeracy skills.
Outdoor, nature-based connections are highly valued. It is our belief that developing practical, outdoor skills fosters confidence, independence and innovation. The holistic development of all children is supported by educators who observe and facilitate free-play, open exploration and imagination. It is our aim to encourage active involvement in our Kindergarten community. We embrace the sharing of ideas, skills, experiences and resources. The individual rights of each child, family, staff member and volunteer are respected, valued, protected and promoted. By working together, the educators, management and parents can provide a safe, nurturing environment for children to learn and grow to the best of their abilities.

Church Street Kindergarten & Preschool
Church Street Kindergarten was established in 1958 as Wacol Army Village Kindergarten and serviced Wacol, Camira, Darra and the Centenary Suburbs. After the sale of the Army Village in 1987, the kindergarten relocated to Goodna for the Commencement of the 1988 school year. The kindergarten is situated in a suburban environment amongst houses. This is a less daunting first step into an educational facility, with only 22 children in attendance unlike hundreds of other children in a school environment. The building is orientated towards a large tree-covered grassy playground with an emphasis on natural materials such as timber and bark. We would love to invite you to see what a regular day at our kindy looks like. Families are welcome anytime and can drop in whenever suits them.
Church Street Kindergarten provides all of the Library, Music & Movement and Language activities available at schools. The centre has extensive indoor and outdoor play equipment and resources which have been purchased and maintained over many years through parent fundraising efforts. We value all of our past and present families as being part of our Church Street Community. Church Street Kindergarten has a long history of stable and consistent Staff members. Many of our past students return with their own children.
