Camira Kindergarten

3.5 years - 5 years

Camira Kindergarten

We have friendly, qualified teachers and assistants who welcome the families each day and encourage parent participation and involvement in whatever capacity parents can give.

We offer beautiful natural play spaces for children to explore and create their imaginative play - sand pit, mud patch, bushland, real grass and really large established trees. Our indoor environment is so homely, attractive and welcoming, that some people think our building is a converted house.

  • We are a well-established Kindergarten that first opened our doors in 1988.
  • We are a non-profit community kindergarten, owned and operated by a committee made up of parents of our enrolled children.
  • We are extremely well-resourced due to 35 plus years of being a well-managed kindergarten, and
  • All proceeds from fundraising go back into improving the building and grounds, purchasing new equipment, and providing for additional needs staff.

At Camira Kindergarten, we have two kindy groups to choose from. All groups ensure children receive the same number of hours of education across the year. The groups have a maximum of 22 children and are led by an experienced and qualified early childhood teacher. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays and some pupil free days.

As an affiliated centre of C&K, Camira Kindergarten receives support from C&K as the Central Governing Body but operates as an independent incorporated association managed by a volunteer management committee. Centres affiliated with C&K receive comprehensive support in governance, including managing kindergarten and inclusion funding, training for committees and educators, advice and support regarding inclusion, use of the C&K brand, curriculum approach and resource materials.
