Happy Valley Community Kindergarten
Welcome to Warekila - Happy Valley Kindergarten, where we are very proud to be rated "Exceeding" by ACECQA. Happy Valley Kindy was established in 1967 and is affiliated with C&K. As a non-profit community kindergarten, we are run by a management committee of parent volunteers. Our centre is committed to maintaining a welcoming early learning environment, whilst nurturing each child to fulfil their potential. We provide a stimulating, challenging and safe space – where families, staff and children can research, grow and discover together. Our teachers and educators focus on nurturing your child's curiosity, building their resilience and developing their confidence - all through the joy of learning through play.
At Happy Valley Kindy, we have two kindy groups to choose from. All groups ensure children receive the same number of hours of education across the year. The groups have a maximum of 24 children and are led by an experienced and qualified early childhood teacher. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays and some pupil free days.
We welcome children who are four years old, or turning four by the 30th June of the year they attend kindy. If you would like early entry/pre-kindy, this is offered during term 4 of the year before enrolment, if we have vacancies. Please contact the centre director to discuss any early entry requests.
As an affiliated centre of C&K, Happy Valley Kindergarten receives support from C&K as the Central Governing Body but operates as an independent incorporated association managed by a volunteer management committee. Florence Kindergarten & Preschool
Welcome to Florence Kindergarten! Florence Kindergarten is a stand-alone service which was established in 1955 by community effort and volunteer labour. We offer a natural, play based learning framework lead by caring, degree qualified teachers and educators. Our aim is to provide an enriched environment where your children can truly grow as individuals and be prepared for the next important steps in their lives. Our teaching team tailors each day’s learning, taking into account the interests of the children in the group. Our spacious and natural environment is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and we allocate plenty of time for outdoor play and discovery.
Community involvement is important to us at Florence Kindergarten. We foster strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us and taking the children on excursions to our local beach and other community facilities.

Everton Park Kindergarten
C&K Everton Park was opened in 1962 and is located on a large, leafy block with a large kindergarten room, access to an outdoor deck and veranda and a huge playground full of leafy trees, real grass, large sandpit, shady forest area and many gardens.
The children can enjoy playing in this beautiful, natural environment while listening to the wonderful birds that live in our trees and observing many of the natural wonders of their surroundings.
As we have a maximum of 25 children, at any time the children have the benefit and freedom associated with having the entire kindergarten to themselves.
C&K Everton Park is very well resourced with ample paint and craft resources, creative play equipment, books, puzzles, music and outdoor play equipment. Children are able to direct the type of play by selecting their own music, directing games and expressing their imagination. Children are able to continue to play over consecutive kindergarten days if they wish.
We have highly qualified and experienced educators. Teachers regularly attend professional development opportunities to stay current in their profession.
At C&K Everton Park, each day is exciting and new. A day may involve working on projects and investigations, exploring, communicating, sharing, creating, imagining and much more. Our centre has not only met the requirements of an approved kindergarten program, but we have received a status of "Exceeding National Quality Standards". This means our kindergarten program makes that extra effort to ensure we do better than just meet the minimum requirements and help your children reach new heights in their learning.

We have been offering quality education and care for pre-prep children over the last 25 years and place great emphasis on creating a warm and caring atmosphere of respect and dignity for children and families. We want your child’s experience to be a positive and fulfilling one.
We know children are competent and capable learners, who can make their own choices, problem solve and explore. Our role is to support this strengths-based approach to achieve the best outcomes for each child. For our families, we work together in partnerships to support and communicate with one another.
