Harty Street Kindergarten
Harty Street Kindergarten, established in 1953, offers a nurturing, play-based learning environment aligned with C&K's values. Originally named St. Stephen’s Kindergarten, it became independent in 1964, moving to its current location in Coorparoo.
The kindergarten features an expansive, natural playground fostering exploration, physical activity, and emotional growth. Harty Street is committed to creating an inclusive, stimulating atmosphere that encourages children's development across physical, social, emotional, and cognitive domains.
Our warm, caring and degree-qualified early childhood educators are dedicated to ensuring your child enjoys and benefits from their kindergarten year. At Harty Street Kindergarten, your child will be nurtured and protected and will grow into a lifelong learner.
At Harty Street Kindergarten, we have 4 kindergarten groups to choose from, with varying start and finish times, so you can enrol your child in a group that best meets your family's needs. Of course, all of our groups meet the required 600 hours of attendance in the year.
As an affiliated centre of C&K, Harty Street Kindergarten receives support from C&K as the Central Governing Body but operates as an independent incorporated association managed by a volunteer management committee. Gundala Community Kindergarten
Welcome to Gundala Community Kindergarten. We are a one-unit kindergarten which was established in 1977 in response to the commitment and activism of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander parents who wanted their children to have the same access to early childhood education that was afforded to other children.
Located on Quandamooka Country for the last 30 years, Gundala is growing into our vision of being a blueprint for inter-generational success.
We get to be powerful contributors to our community by offering early childhood services that holistically respond to the needs and aspirations of our little children and families, a place embedded within cultural knowledge systems that are guided by our Ancestral wisdom, empowered by the needs of our children, ad inspired by the aspirations of our families.

Gaythorne Community Kindergarten
At Gaythorne Community Kindergarten, your child will feel safe, make friends and belong. We have an open natural learning environment where the children explore, investigate, and extend their learning.
You will find Gaythorne Community Kindergarten nestled in a quiet, tree-lined pocket of Gaythorne. Since 1988, our community-based, not-for-profit kindergarten has been nurturing children's potential through play. Our motto, "Play, Learn, and Explore," maximizes children's innate sense of curiosity and encourages their individual interests. Experienced and caring staff make sure children feel welcomed, supported, and valued.
At Gaythorne Community Kindergarten, we have 2 kindy groups to choose from, as well as a pre-kindy program for children from 2 years of age, and can also provide before kindy and after kindy care, and vacation care if needed.
If eligible, Child Care Subsidy is claimable on fees for pre-kindy, before kindy and after kindy care, and vacation care programs.

Florence Kindergarten & Preschool
Welcome to Florence Kindergarten! Florence Kindergarten is a stand-alone service which was established in 1955 by community effort and volunteer labour. We offer a natural, play based learning framework lead by caring, degree qualified teachers and educators. Our aim is to provide an enriched environment where your children can truly grow as individuals and be prepared for the next important steps in their lives. Our teaching team tailors each day’s learning, taking into account the interests of the children in the group. Our spacious and natural environment is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and we allocate plenty of time for outdoor play and discovery.
Community involvement is important to us at Florence Kindergarten. We foster strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us and taking the children on excursions to our local beach and other community facilities.
At C&K Florence Kindergarten & Preschool, we have two kindy groups to choose from. All groups ensure children receive the same number of hours of education across the year. The groups have a maximum of 22 children and are led by an experienced and qualified early childhood teacher. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays and some pupil free days.

Everton Park Kindergarten
C&K Everton Park was opened in 1962 and is located on a large, leafy block with a large kindergarten room, access to an outdoor deck and veranda and a huge playground full of leafy trees, real grass, large sandpit, shady forest area and many gardens. The children can enjoy playing in this beautiful, natural environment while listening to the wonderful birds that live in our trees and observing many of the natural wonders of their surroundings. As we have a maximum of 25 children, at any time the children have the benefit and freedom associated with having the entire kindergarten to themselves. C&K Everton Park is very well resourced with ample paint and craft resources, creative play equipment, books, puzzles, music and outdoor play equipment. Children are able to direct the type of play by selecting their own music, directing games and expressing their imagination. Children are able to continue to play over consecutive kindergarten days if they wish. We have highly qualified and experienced educators. Teachers regularly attend professional development opportunities to stay current in their profession.
At C&K Everton Park, each day is exciting and new. A day may involve working on projects and investigations, exploring, communicating, sharing, creating, imagining and much more. Our centre has not only met the requirements of an approved kindergarten program, but we have received a status of "Exceeding National Quality Standards". This means our kindergarten program makes that extra effort to ensure we do better than just meet the minimum requirements and help your children reach new heights in their learning.

Deadly Kindy Gundoo Mirra
Deadly Kindy Gundoo Mirra is a kindergarten for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander kids. Our kindys promote community, family, play and culture. Our playground is an important part of our curriculum. Your children will have the benefit of beautiful playground and natural setting which has been designed to enhance children’s gross motor development. The children observe the lizards that wander into the yard. They learn about the bush tucker garden and participate in gardening experiences throughout the year. They use the seedpods from the trees to count and for craft. The playground has quiet areas for resting and relaxing and active areas for ball games, climbing, sand play, obstacle courses, swings and much more. We also have a yarning circle where the kids love to meet to tell stories and read books.
