Western Suburbs Kindergarten
Welcome to Western Suburbs Kindergarten! We are a Community Kindergarten located in the quiet backstreets of Aitkenvale, surrounded by trees and parklands. At our kindy, play takes centre stage in your child’s education, and children are given time to explore, discover and learn. We offer a Government Approved Kindergarten Funded Program across 4 groups, with options for 2 long days or shorter 5-day fortnight groups at the beginning and end of the week. The groups have a maximum of 22 children and are led by an experienced early childhood teacher. Our teachers and teaching assistants are highly qualified, and are passionate about creating engaging play spaces for children. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays, and some pupil free days.
Attending Kindergarten provides children with opportunities to develop relationships with teachers & strong friendships across their group in a safe and nurturing environment. Our huge, naturally shaded outdoor environment encourages healthy movement, nurtures children’s curiosity & creativity & strengthens their connection with the environment as they play & explore. Programs evolve to extend on children’s ideas, incorporating their needs across all areas of the Curriculum to inspire a lifelong love of learning. Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander perspectives are embedded in our practice & we aim to build strong connections with all families & our wider community. We would welcome your family to organise a time to come and visit and explore our beautiful centre.
