Welcome to C&K Amberley Community Childcare Centre.

C&K Amberley Community Childcare offers a service where children and families can develop a sense of belonging within the immediate environment and the wider community.

Our centre is located on the grounds of Amberley district state school, giving us a close community.

C&K Amberley Childcare follows the Building waterfalls curriculum which allows and encourages children to express their own ideas through play. Play offers children many opportunities to develop friendships, explore, solve problems, help others, imagine, create and extend on their interests.

Child-Led Learning

No two days are the same at C&K Amberley. Our teaching team tailors each day’s learning, taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious and natural environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and we allocate plenty of time for outdoor play and discovery.

Community Spirit

Community spirit is important to us at C&K Amberley. We foster strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us and taking the children on excursions out into the local community.

Birth to Three Approach

At C&K we are exploring new approaches for the educators that care for, and educate our youngest children at C&K childcare centres. The Birth to Three approach which we have developed is all about being in the moment with your child. Our philosophy for this age group is to “slow down” and allow children the time to learn and discover at their own pace. We are focused on spending one-on-one time with babies and toddlers and developing deep and trusting relationships with each individual child.

Usually C&K offers places at our childcares on a first come, first served basis.

  1. Enrol now - please call us on 3294 3785 or email us to see if there is a place for your child.
  1. Enrol later - please click "Enrol Online" button above to add your child's name to our list.  You will be redirected to an external website, where you will need to create a login and password and complete an online form. You won't be charged a fee. We will contact you when a space becomes available, by the date you added your child to our list and whether your child has been identified as a priority by the Australian government.

C&K has developed a Birth to Three approach which informs the way we care for and educate our babies and toddlers. Our philosophy for this age is to “slow down” and be in the moment with your child as they learn and explore the world. We focus on developing a deep and trusting relationship with each child.

All C&K childcare centres feature the quality C&K kindergarten program. Kindergarten, also known as pre-prep or preschool, is a program for children who are turning 4 by June 30 in the year before they attend school. C&K’s kindy programs are guided by University qualified teachers and support children’s curiosity, creativity, problem solving, resilience and real-world knowledge and skills.

The children at C&K Amberley have been talking about community helpers and were lucky enough to have a visit from the QLD fire brigade in a fire truck and the QLD police in a police van.
