Welcome to C&K Herston Road
Our centre is a 3 room, Long Day Care (LDC) service with a LDC funded Kindergarten Program.
Here at C&K Herston road, we are very lucky to have a natural outdoor area that provides children with an outlet to explore, engage and supports motor development. The children have a large natural space to be adventurous.
Our dedicated, friendly and qualified staff encourage play-based learning using the ‘Early Years Framework’, ensuring that your children have a great start in their education.
Because we are so close to the Queensland University or Technology (QUT) we endeavor to build that community partnership and take excursions to their library, football fields and their newly developed picnic areas around the campus.
Here at Herston road we have a wide range of cultural and linguistic background with our families and staff. This provides us the opportunity to incorporate these cultures and languages throughout the centre. Our approach to inclusion and diversity ensures that every child, family and staff member feels safe, welcomed and important. Because you are!
Come for a visit and see for yourself! We can’t wait to add you to our beautiful Herston Road family.

Child-Led Learning
No two days are the same at C&K Herston Road. Our teaching team tailors each day’s learning, taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious and natural environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and we allocate plenty of time for outdoor play and discovery.
Community Spirit
Community spirit is important to us at C&K Herston Road. We foster strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us and taking the children on excursions out into the local community.
