Welcome
Welcome to C&K Anne Shearer Kindergarten & Preschool
Anne Shearer Kindergarten was established in 1957 by Miss Anne Shearer, who founded the kindergarten movement on the Redcliffe Peninsula. We offer a natural, play based learning framework, caring quality educators and a community minded organisation.
Our aim is to provide an enriched environment where your children can truly grow as individuals and be prepared for the next important steps in their lives. At Anne Shearer Kindergarten we follow C&K’s curriculum approach which captures the essence of C&K and communicates the belief that children are curious, capable, and collaborative learners.
If you would like to view our unique and beautiful centre and meet the teachers, then please call and arrange a time.
Child-Led Learning
No two days are the same at C&K Anne Shearer. Our teaching team tailors each day’s learning, taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious and natural environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and we allocate plenty of time for outdoor play and discovery.
Community Spirit
Community spirit is important to us at C&K Anne Shearer. We foster strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us and taking the children on excursions out into the local community.
