Welcome to C&K Arlington Childcare... ‘The Arlington Family’

The Arlington Family has a home-like atmosphere which creates and maintains a warm, relaxed, and caring environment, providing nurturing and rich relationships between our educators, your children, and your family. Our four sizable outdoor play spaces open the children’s growing minds to a world of discovery.

At C&K Arlington, we understand that children are powerful learners from birth, who value their self-initiated and meaningful ownership of learning. The educators within our team aid in the learning and development of every child, through recognising their growing knowledge, skills, and capabilities. We understand and value the children as capable and powerful learners.

The Arlington Family is one of diversity and connection. At our centre, children and families are respected and their cultural ways of knowing, living, and doing are valued. We believe this is essential for promoting social and cultural understandings and abilities in children.

Our Kindergarten offers a Government Approved Kindergarten Program run by fully qualified and trained Early Childhood Teachers. Based upon C&K’s Curriculum Approach, our enthusiastic Early Childhood Teachers are confident in supporting your child in their learning, development and of course- School Readiness through play-based learning.

We pride ourselves on providing quality fresh meals each-and-every day. All our meals are prepared onsite, from our Arlington Café, by our qualified chef and the kitchen team. Not only do we provide an amazing variety of nutritious meals, but we also promote healthy eating through our cooking classes which run in partnership with the children. Our all-inclusive daily fee includes morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch, in addition to quality nappies. Your child will also receive a complementary C&K t-shirt and sun smart hat on their first day of attendance.

If you are looking for a warm, caring, and educational play-based environment for your child then C&K Arlington Drive is the centre for you.

Child-Led Learning

No two days are the same at C&K Arlington Drive. Each day’s learning is driven by the interests and ideas of the children. The spacious and natural environments within our centre are thoughtfully planned and well resourced, with opportunities to meet the needs and interests of all children who attend. This is achieved through the provision of combined indoor and outdoor play opportunities throughout the day. Play offers children many opportunities to develop friendships, explore, solve problems, help others, imagine, create, and extend on their interests.

Community Spirit

Community spirit is important to us at C&K Arlington Drive. We foster strong ties to the local community and encourage parent involvement in the daily operations of the centre. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us.

Birth to Three Approach

At C&K we are exploring new approaches for the educators that care for and educate our littlest people at C&K childcare centres. The Birth to Three approach, which we have developed, is all about being in the moment with your child. Our philosophy for this age group is to “slow down” and to slow down some more to allow children the time to learn and discover at their own pace. We are focused on spending one-on-one time with babies and toddlers and developing deep and trusting relationships with each individual child.

C&K has developed a Infant and Toddler approach which informs the way we care for and educate our babies and toddlers. Our philosophy for this age is to “slow down” and be in the moment with your child as they learn and explore the world. We focus on developing a deep and trusting relationship with each child.

All C&K childcare centres feature the quality C&K kindergarten program. Kindergarten, also known as pre-prep or preschool, is a program for children who are turning 4 by June 30 in the year before they attend school. C&K’s kindy programs are guided by University qualified teachers and support children’s curiosity, creativity, problem solving, resilience and real-world knowledge and skills.

At C&K we know that children do not learn in isolation, learning is a collaborative process between teachers, children and parents. The physical indoor and outdoor environment also plays a part. At C&K we believe children are competent and capable learners, and approach our education program with this in mind.

How does C&K decide fees?

As a not-for-profit organisation, C&K reinvests any surplus back into our centres and programs to better achieve outcomes for all children and communities.

We aim to keep fees affordable for families and have developed a fee system to maximise family access to available subsidies. Read more about C&K's fee policies.
