C&K Salisbury Community Childcare Centre welcomes children aged 6 weeks to 5 years and provides high-quality early childhood education and care services Monday through Friday. We offer flexible booking options that allow families to select hours of care suited to their individual needs.

As a home away from home, our environment provides feelings of safety, security, and support while children are in the care of our qualified educators. We recognise that every child learns differently, and our inclusive practices ensure that every child's needs are met individually.

Our centre features a combination of both age-based rooms and communal learning spaces where siblings and children of all ages can come together to learn and play. The large outdoor area is designed to take advantage of the natural environment and encourages children to explore, discover, play, and engage with nature.

At C&K Salisbury, we have a strong community focus. Our permanent educators are locals who know the community well. The children regularly visit or host visits from local businesses, including allied health professionals. We have close links with the local schools, with regular opportunities for educators, children, and families to ease the transition between kindy and prep.

We are fortunate to have easy access to the local creek, which our kindy children visit regularly. The centre has partnered with Brisbane City Council since 2021 to develop their pilot Creek Neighbours program, which we will continue to run annually.

C&K childcare centres offer high-quality education and care programs. We focus on a unique infant and toddler approach and deliver the approved kindergarten program for 4-year-olds.

C&K Salisbury is located at 42 Frewin Street in Salisbury, next to Brisbane Christian College. Salisbury train station is a short 600 metres away.

C&K has developed an Infant and Toddler Approach, which informs the way we care for and educate our babies and toddlers. Our philosophy for this age is to “slow down” and be in the moment with your child as they learn and explore the world. We focus on developing a deep and trusting relationship with each child.

All C&K childcare centres deliver C&K's quality kindergarten program. Kindergarten, also known as pre-prep or preschool, is a program for children who are turning 4 by June 30 in the year before they attend school. C&K’s kindy programs are government-approved and led by experienced and university qualified teachers. Our program supports children’s curiosity, creativity, problem solving, resilience and real-world knowledge and skills.

At C&K, we know that children do not learn in isolation, so we approach learning as a collaborative relationship between teachers, educators, children and families. We believe children are powerful learners, active citizens, thinkers and theorisers - this is at the heart of our early childhood curriculum. We've designed our indoor and outdoor spaces to ignite imaginations and nurture healthy minds and bodies. Learning through play is an integral part of our education program. Our educators skilfully enrich and extend children's play experiences, creating a learning program that is tailored and meaningful for your child.

Your child’s learning and care journey is shared with you via conversations with your child’s educators, through written documentation and through Storypark (an app and website).

If eligible, you could receive up to 15 hours of free kindy per week, for 40 weeks.
