About our kindy
Welcome to C&K Moranbah, where we have been a proud member of the community for over 60 years. We are one of the largest C&K kindergarten's in Queensland, having up to 132 places available, across three groups. Our nature based kindy works closely with the wider community to support farmers and the well-being of children. Nature play is a key component of our daily play and allows our children to explore their limits in a safe engaging environment. At C&K Moranbah, we believe the purpose of an early childhood educational program is to have the wellbeing and holistic development of children as the core motivating force of all that we do. This means that our programme grows out of experiences which are meaningful and relevant for children to promote their physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth, while expressing their specific interests, needs and abilities with respect for their cultural background.
Location
C&K Moranbah is located on Mills Avenue in Moranbah (2 hours south west from Mackay) and right next to the Moranbah Community Centre.
Child-led learning
No two days are the same at C&K Moranbah. Our teaching team tailors each day’s learning, taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious and natural environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and we allocate plenty of time for outdoor play and discovery.
Community spirit
Community spirit is important to us at C&K Moranbah. We foster strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us and taking the children on excursions out into the local community.
