Our Centres

At C&K Everyone Belongs

C&K is one of Queensland's largest not-for-profit early childhood education and care providers. Our 330 kindergartens and childcare centres have provided over one million children with quality education since 1907.

The C&K philosophy encourages a love of learning that is supported by Listening and Learning Together: The C&K Curriculum Approach. The learning outcomes in our approach align with both The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF), and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).  Our approach continues the longstanding traditions and philosophical commitments of C&K to our children, families and communities.

Our kindergarten and childcare centres offer both indoor and outdoor areas for learning where children are encouraged to actively engage through play-based experiences. C&K creates environments where children feel happy and secure whilst having the freedom to express themselves.

C&K educators are passionate and qualified. They believe that every child can achieve their fullest potential through nurturing happy and healthy minds, hearts and bodies.

At C&K, we embrace the diversity of children, families and communities and are committed to reconciliation with children from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Why is early childhood education important?

At C&K we focus on skills that last a lifetime: curiosity, cooperation, investigation and persistence.  Hear from our teachers and educators how we nurture your child's unique interests, mind and body through play-based learning.

Childcare

At C&K childcare centres, we have introduced the Infant and Toddler approach which informs the way our educators care for, and educate our youngest children. Our philosophy is to "slow down" with your child as they learn and discover. Educators are focused on spending one-on-one time with babies and toddlers to develop trusting relationships.

Our centres offer up to 12 hours a day of education and care for children aged six weeks to five years.

Kindergarten

C&K kindergarten programs are guided by the qualified teachers and support children's curiosity, creativity, problem solving, resilience and real-world knowledge and skills.

Also known as pre-prep, kindergarten is a program for children who are turning 4 by 30 June, in the year before they attend school. The program runs for 15 hours per week during Queensland school terms.
