Welcome to Injilinji Preschool, proudly serving the Mount Isa community since 1973. Injilinji Preschool is committed to providing quality early childhood education that meets the developmental needs of the wide, culturally diverse community that makes up the population of Mount Isa.

Through our play-based program, we nurture and respect individual learners to develop a wide worldview and understanding of their own environment as they develop into competent, independent young learners.

Our learning experiences are open ended and are planned based on child observations, individual development and your child’s interest. Experiences are also planned by the teacher to extend the child’s interest and knowledge they bring with them to kindergarten. These experiences allow the children the opportunity to explore and develop in all areas, such as their physical wellbeing, social and emotional wellbeing, cognitive, and creative development.

At George Bowen Memorial Community Kindergarten, we pride ourselves in acknowledging and respecting the culture, background and history of each individual child and their families. At George Bowen Memorial Community Kindergarten, we offer a 5 day fortnight kindergarten program. Our centre has a free bus service that is available to all George Bowen Memorial Community Kindergarten children who require transport to and from the centre.

Highfields & District Kindergarten

Highfields Kindergarten is focused on nurturing and play-based learning for children aged 3.5 to 5. We emphasise holistic development, combining education with social and emotional growth.

Led by experienced Early Childhood Teachers, the program offers a consistent, nurturing environment in well-equipped indoor and outdoor spaces. Children attend with the same group daily, fostering strong relationships. The not-for-profit kindergarten values community involvement, with families participating in decision-making. Profits are reinvested to enhance educational resources, and staff are passionate professionals with decades of experience.

At Highfield Kindergarten, we have 4 kindy groups to choose from, and offer After Kindy Care to 5:30pm, so you can enrol your child in a group that best meets your family's needs.

Harty Street Kindergarten, established in 1953, offers a nurturing, play-based learning environment aligned with C&K's values. Originally named St. Stephen’s Kindergarten, it became independent in 1964, moving to its current location in Coorparoo.

The kindergarten features an expansive, natural playground fostering exploration, physical activity, and emotional growth. Harty Street is committed to creating an inclusive, stimulating atmosphere that encourages children's development across physical, social, emotional, and cognitive domains.

Our warm, caring and degree-qualified early childhood educators are dedicated to ensuring your child enjoys and benefits from their kindergarten year. At Harty Street Kindergarten, your child will be nurtured and protected and will grow into a lifelong learner.

At Harty Street Kindergarten, we have 4 kindergarten groups to choose from, with varying start and finish times, so you can enrol your child in a group that best meets your family's needs. Of course, all of our groups meet the required 600 hours of attendance in the year.

Happy Valley Community Kindergarten

Happy Valley Community Kindergarten

Welcome to Warekila - Happy Valley Kindergarten, where we are very proud to be rated "Exceeding" by ACECQA. Happy Valley Kindy was established in 1967 and is affiliated with C&K. As a non-profit community kindergarten, we are run by a management committee of parent volunteers. Our centre is committed to maintaining a welcoming early learning environment, whilst nurturing each child to fulfil their potential. We provide a stimulating, challenging and safe space – where families, staff and children can research, grow and discover together. Our teachers and educators focus on nurturing your child's curiosity, building their resilience and developing their confidence - all through the joy of learning through play.

At Happy Valley Kindy, we have two kindy groups to choose from. All groups ensure children receive the same number of hours of education across the year. The groups have a maximum of 24 children and are led by an experienced and qualified early childhood teacher. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays and some pupil free days.

We welcome children who are four years old, or turning four by the 30th June of the year they attend kindy. If you would like early entry/pre-kindy, this is offered during term 4 of the year before enrolment, if we have vacancies. Please contact the centre director to discuss any early entry requests.
