Welcome
Welcome to our beautiful service at C&K Walkervale.
Each day we cater for up to 22 children and are very lucky to have three qualified Early Childhood Teachers on our team.
Our service has a welcoming indoor space that reflects our children's interests and learning and a large outdoor space that promotes adventurous play, physical challenges, an appreciation for the natural environment as well as our imaginations. Our educators and the environment encourage STEM learning, age appropriate pedagogies, self help skills, play and project based learning, respect for one another, a sense of belonging and school readiness.
We believe our children are capable learners and promote agency and child voice that lead our daily program and embed creative and critical thinking skills to support our 21st century learners.
We are passionate about sharing knowledge from Indigenous and Torres Strait Islanders cultures and embracing the many different traditions and heritage our families bring to our service. In our service we value these diverse relationships and work hard to build strong partnerships with and between our children, families, educator, schools, local community and the world around us.
All families are encouraged to call or pop in for a visit to meet our friendly team and view our centre. We hope our room showcases the amazing learning we do and allows you to celebrate with us each child's unique abilities. We look forward to meeting you soon!
Child-Led Learning
No two days are the same at C&K Walkervale Community Kindergarten. Our teaching team tailor each day’s learning taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and time spent discovering the natural environment outdoors.
Community Spirit
Community spirit is important to us at C&K Walkervale Community Kindergarten. We foster our strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us.
Our Team
Our Team is led by University qualified teacher Miss Kellie who holds a Bachelor of Learning Management - Early Childhood. Kellie is supported by Miss Lucy and Miss Nita.
We warmly invite you to place your child’s name on our waitlist (click the pink Enrol now button above) and become a part of the C&K Walkervale Kindergarten community. Together, we can nurture our children and build a strong foundation to continue their journey in learning and life.
We look forward to meeting you and your child -
Kellie, Lucy and Nita
