Providing high standards of early childhood education and care together.
Ask anyone who's built a career at C&K, and they'll tell you the same thing: it stops being "just a job" pretty quickly. What keeps people part of the C&K family is just as important as what draws them in - and that's where our benefits come in.
As a not-for-profit, C&K reinvests profit back into what matters most: better outcomes for children, families and communities. Investing in our people is a key part of that commitment, which is why supporting your growth and wellbeing is core to who we are. Here's what that looks like in practice.
We believe talented educators and support staff should be rewarded for the difference they make. That's why C&K offers wages and salaries benchmarked above industry standards, recognising the expertise and passion that help us deliver exceptional early childhood education and care. It's what sets us apart from other providers.
If you're a parent needing Early Childhood Education and Care, as well as a C&K employee, your fees drop significantly. When your children are enrolled at a C&K centre, educators get 75% off the gap fee, non-educator staff get 35% off, and the enrolment fee is waived altogether.
Your well-being matters to us, and we want you to feel supported at work and at home. Every employee and their immediate family have access to our Employee Assistance Program, with confidential help from registered psychologists and specialists whenever it's needed.
Working in early childhood education comes with its own set of essentials, and C&K takes care of the cost. That includes all costs associated with your Blue Card (initial application and renewal for all staff), plus First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certification (for centre-based staff). One less expense, one less thing to think about.
Through our partnership with Bupa, employees get access to discounted corporate health insurance - extending wellness support beyond you to the people you look after at home.
Returning to work after parental leave is a big transition, and we don't expect you to navigate it alone. Our Return to Work Support Program provides an additional six weeks' of paid leave spread over six months, to give you more time with your family as you find your rhythm again (eligibility criteria apply).
As a family-friendly employer, permanent and fixed-term employees get priority access to childcare at C&K - meaning less time on a waitlist and more certainty for your family.
Know someone who'd be a great fit? Through our Employee Referral Program, you can earn a reward simply for introducing us to great people - once they've made it through probation.
Salary Packaging lets you allocate part of your income to things like superannuation, vehicle leases, mortgage or rent payments, electronic devices, memberships, and health insurance - helping your pay stretch further, tax-effectively.
Studying while working can be tough, so we help make it more manageable. Permanent and casual employees studying towards a Certificate III, Diploma, Graduate Diploma, or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education can access scholarships worth up to $35,000 through our Qualifications Pathways Program, with eligibility varying by course and circumstance.
At C&K, we know our people are the reason children get the best possible start. That's why we back you - not just with fair pay, but with genuine support, real flexibility, and a community that treats you like you belong.
If you're ready to bring your passion for early learning to a place where it will be recognised and rewarded, we'd love to hear from you.
