Welcome to C&K Mudgeeraba Community Kindergarten.
C&K Mudgeeraba is co-located on the grounds of Mudgeeraba State School. We are a double unit kindergarten of 88 children. Children attend for five days in a fortnight during school terms.
Children are eligible to attend the centre during the year before they are due to start Prep, which is around the ages of 3.5 to 4.5.
Throughout the year children are guided towards school readiness as their fine and gross motor skills, independence and self-help skills and social and emotional development are nurtured through play and play-based learning.
Our centre was recently assessed and achieved the rating of Exceeding Expectations and Quality Standards in all 7 of the areas assessed.
Queensland Government Approved Program
We offer a unique kindergarten program based on our own internationally-recognised teaching guidelines - ‘Building waterfalls’. Our government-approved program is centred around a living and learning community that values children as competent and capable individuals. This play-based curriculum helps children to socialise, build confidence, and develop communication and early literacy and numeracy skills to ensure your child is school-ready.
No two days are the same at C&K Mudgeeraba. Our teaching team tailors each day’s learning, taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious and natural environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and we allocate plenty of time for outdoor play and discovery.
Community spirit is important to us at C&K Mudgeeraba. We foster strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us and taking the children on excursions out into the local community.
