Welcome to C&K Ascot Community Kindergarten.
At C&K Ascot Kindergarten the children play in a carefully planned environment that caters for the needs, interests and abilities of each child. The outdoor area allows the children to enjoy activities and challenges in a well-shaded playground. The centre has an extensive range of resources for indoor and outdoor play.
Age: The centre caters for children in their year before prep. The centre offers one two long days program and one five day fortnight program for children who turn four before 30 June in the year they attend kindergarten.
Parents: Each term, parents are invited to spend a day with their child. They are encouraged to share their skills and talents. For example, parents may host a cooking class, read a favourite book or paint with the children.
Playground: C&K Ascot Community Kindergarten boasts a large, beautiful outdoor play area with a garden which includes a thriving vegetable patch.
Queensland Government Approved Program
We offer a unique kindergarten program based on our own internationally-recognised teaching guidelines - ‘Building waterfalls’. Our government-approved program is centred around a living and learning community that values children as competent and capable individuals. This play-based curriculum helps children to socialise, build confidence, and develop communication and early literacy and numeracy skills to ensure your child is school-ready.
No two days are the same at C&K Ascot. Our teaching team tailors each day’s learning, taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious and natural environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and we allocate plenty of time for outdoor play and discovery.
Community spirit is important to us at C&K Ascot. We foster strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us and taking the children on excursions out into the local community.
