C&K Cotton Tree Childcare Centre in Maroochydore welcomes children aged 6 weeks to 5 years and provides high-quality early childhood education and care services Monday through Friday. We offer flexible booking options that allow families to select hours of care suited to their individual needs.

Located on the Sunshine Coast near the beach, we take pride in our spacious natural outdoor learning environment, featuring mature leafy trees and local wildlife, including native birds and possums that nest in our trees. Our nature-based playground inspires challenging and open-ended play experiences where children receive uninterrupted time to explore and engage in meaningful learning. We respect children as powerful learners, critical thinkers, natural theorists, and active community citizens.

As a nurturing home away from home, our environment provides a safe, secure, and supportive space for your child. Our dedicated, friendly, and professionally qualified staff members nurture play-based learning approaches while fostering a lifelong love of learning. Our families love our large natural outdoor area, where we encourage children to explore, discover, engage in creative play, and connect with nature.

Within our centre we have families and staff members who come from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. This diversity provides valuable opportunities to incorporate these cultures and languages throughout our daily centre programming. Our comprehensive approach to inclusion and diversity ensures that every child, family member, and staff member feels safe, genuinely welcomed, and valued as important contributors.

C&K childcare centres offer high-quality education and care programs. We focus on a unique infant and toddler approach and deliver the approved kindergarten program for 4-year-olds.

C&K Cotton Tree is situated between the local library, tennis court facilities, and lawn bowling clubs. Positioned diagonally across from the centre are the Neighbourhood Centre and the Cotton Tree Community Gardens. The beach and Cotton Tree Surf Club are accessible via a pleasant walk down the road, along with the local shops.

C&K has developed an Infant and Toddler Approach, which informs the way we care for and educate our babies and toddlers. Our philosophy for this age is to “slow down” and be in the moment with your child as they learn and explore the world. We focus on developing a deep and trusting relationship with each child.

All C&K childcare centres deliver C&K's quality kindergarten program. Kindergarten, also known as pre-prep or preschool, is a program for children who are turning 4 by June 30 in the year before they attend school. C&K’s kindy programs are government-approved and led by experienced and university qualified teachers. Our program supports children’s curiosity, creativity, problem solving, resilience and real-world knowledge and skills.

At C&K, we know that children do not learn in isolation, so we approach learning as a collaborative relationship between teachers, educators, children and families. We believe children are powerful learners, active citizens, thinkers and theorisers - this is at the heart of our early childhood curriculum. We've designed our indoor and outdoor spaces to ignite imaginations and nurture healthy minds and bodies. Learning through play is an integral part of our education program. Our educators skilfully enrich and extend children's play experiences, creating a learning program that is tailored and meaningful for your child.

Your child’s learning and care journey is shared with you via conversations with your child’s educators, through written documentation and through Storypark (an app and website).

Enrolment Fee: The enrolment fee is a one-off, non-refundable fee payable when you confirm your child’s enrolment. Some families may be exempt from paying the enrolment fee.

Child Care Subsidy: The Australian Government helps eligible families with the cost of childcare via the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). For more information, please visit Services Australia.

Queensland Kindergarten Funding: The Queensland Government also provides funding for eligible-aged children (children turning 4 by 30 June, in the year they attend a kindy program), attending a centre delivering a government-approved kindergarten program. If eligible, you could receive up to 15 hours of free kindy per week, for 40 weeks.

Flexible Booking Options: C&K offers flexible booking options, designed to help eligible families access and maximise the CCS, and minimise out-of-pocket fees. Our 9 and 10 hour sessions work in with your schedule and start once your child is signed in, not a set start and finish time.
