About our kindy
Welcome to Craigslea Kindergarten, where we provide a play-based learning environment to inspire children to grow, explore and make sense of the world. Our gentle and caring teachers deliver the curriculum to students in a way that encourages confidence and resilience. Meaningful relationships with children and their families are fundamental to our philosophy; we value a nurturing, healthy environment for the wellbeing of all. We believe that everyone should be treated with respect and dignity. Our kindy has a long history of community participation, and the team at Craigslea kindy offer an experienced approach and balanced environment for your child's learning.
C&K Affiliated Centre
As an affiliated centre of C&K, Craigslea kindy receives support from C&K as the Central Governing Body but operates as an independent incorporated association, managed by a volunteer management committee. Centres affiliated with C&K receive comprehensive support in governance including managing kindergarten and inclusion funding, training for committees and educators, advice, and support regarding inclusion, use of the C&K brand, curriculum approach and resource materials.
Child-Led Learning
No two days are the same at Craigslea kindy. Our teaching team tailor each day’s learning taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and time spent discovering the natural environment outdoors.
Community Spirit
Community spirit is important to us at Craigslea kindy. We foster our strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent input and involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten and programming decisions. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us.
