About our kindy
Welcome to C&K Highland Reserve, where your child will feel safe, make friends and belong. Our program is designed to meet each child’s unique interests, needs, development and strengths. Throughout the year children guided towards school readiness as their independence, self-help skills, gross and fine motor skills, social and cognitive skills, and their understanding of the building blocks of literacy and numeracy are nurtured through play. This is achieved through a program that builds on individual children’s interests and strengths and that incorporates children’s own ideas and plans. Our aim is for each child to fulfil their potential and to be happy, caring and resilient. We believe that all children and families are incredibly important. We strive to offer a program that offers a safe, nurturing environment for all children and families. We encourage the sharing of multiculturalism and family rituals to embrace children, families, community and staff through daily rhythms and experiences. We see all children as active citizens who are capable and competent learners and enquirers. We embrace our natural environment as we are located in the foothills of Mount Tamborine. Inspiring sustainable practices and nature play. Our teachers and educators focus on nurturing your child's curiosity, building their resilience and developing their confidence - all through the joy of learning through play.
Location
C&K Highland Reserve is located on Reserve Road in Upper Coomera. We are co-located at Highland Reserve State School, where the children beneft from participation in some school based experiences, including library and prep class visits.
Child-led learning
No two days are the same at C&K Highland Reserve. Our teaching team tailors each day’s learning, taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious and natural environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and we allocate plenty of time for outdoor play and discovery.
Community spirit
Community spirit is important to us at C&K Highland Reserve. We foster strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us and taking the children on excursions out into the local community.
